It seems very interesting, unfortunately, I am a little stuck at the start. The second weapon won't be put down unless I pick up the coin, and once I pick it up it is unclear where I'm supposed to put it. I can't pick up the second weapon until I get rid of the coin, but there's no where to set it.
The tutorial scroll specifies that payments are to be deposited in the chute, it is found on the far right.
His continued existance is worrying. May he be kept from causing additional harm until his deserved annihilation.
Good work! A simple but engaging core loop with a good sense of escalation. Didn't encounter any game-breaking bugs.
a very solid gameplay loop! having to juggle more and more diversions to increase your monetary gain is a great implementation of a risk/reward system.
although, i did encounter a pair of glitches; one where upon attempting to re-read the wall scroll before opening shop, i was left unable to stop reading it, requiring a restart,
and another where my floor crystals malfunctioned while an object was in my hands, and due to an invading spirit's malevolence, i could no longer use my tools. unfortunately, the shelf i leave my sponge on seemed to count as a tool, and due to my hands being full, i was disallowed the right to reactivate my floor crystals to banish the spirit. this, too, required a restart, which was quite disheartening, as i had amassed a hefty wallet.
if these two inconveniences were fixed, there would be no doubt in my mind that this game would be an excellent little romp, deserving of high accolades.
The second issue should now be fixed, although a potential problem was resolved in the tutorial scroll as well we cannot replicate a situation where it would get stuck. If you could describe what exactly happened then that could help.
if i had to hazard a guess, maybe it's because i left the sharpener on? i was just idly clicking everything to find out how they worked, and i went back to the scroll to remind myself of the cues for when a weapon needs to be sharpened. i hope this helped.
More specifically what did it look like when you got stuck? Could you interact with the tutorial UI while stuck? Was the X visible, was it not responding when you clicked it?
yes; the normal tutorial ui was still interactable and readable, and the X was still there, it's just that clicking it wouldn't exit the tutorial scroll. sorry for the late reply.
